And I'm glad you Love the softness I created within the coloring, I like creating soft blended tones. Yeah, about the disease that's part of the beginning of my story, of Darius going through something like that. I'm sorry about it making you feel like crying. Thankyou for liking the coloring & backgrounds, I always wanted to add detailed organic items to make a scenery more grander than it already is. :P Like I said before Characters are easy backgrounds are hard O__o I'm happy you came Jen. ^___^ Re: Kaminari, I'm happy you like their features, when I designed them some time ago I thought about what key signatures they should have, as individual characters. I like the idea of Multi-cultural characters in my story, I'm happy I brought out some features that is very beautiful. And I really enjoyed creating their clothing designs, when I was younger I would draw only clothes not characters. It looked scary to me O__O....but I always wanted to create more than just clothing styles. And at that time I only can sort of draw female forms, until I had to learn to enhance my techniques. I wanted to make male/female characters, with features & their own theme (in clothing & what they show in personality). Thankyou for coming by here Kaminari, your Awesome! Re: Adariel, I'm proud of the first panel of the girl, my sister is the one that did mist wave effects.. She's wonderful with soft lighting... She brings out the dreamy atmosphere to these dream sequences, & for it being mysterious..true it has a lot to tell..But this is the beginning, everything will become more understandable in time. Adariel thanks for stopping by ^^ Re: Rina_ran, Yeah, she is playful, that's the idea for making it more of a cheerful atmosphere. (while the two are together). About Darius being a patient, I have seen people that has cancer be out of the hospital in certain duration's. My sister & I had our share of knowing people who had cancer, but the people we knew died from it eventually. The character Darius' partial personality was from someone we knew when we were 8 years old. His name was Bryce, he was our age when he was diagnosed with cancer, we saw him going through the process of chemo. And kids at school acted differently in front of him, cause physically he changed. He was the only boy we knew that was nice to us, it's still painful to think about what he went through. when he became more sick and went in a sleep, he never woke up.. His mother mentioned that many gave him toys when he was sick, but the toy my sister & I gave him, he kept to him close until the end. It was know as a ouch bear, (a toy bear with band-Aid on his forehead, a silk wrapping bandage on his arm, and a crystal tear drop on the side of it's cheek. The ouch bear had a sad expression...while it's Band-Aid said ouch. Bryce loved that toy, and for us to remember how he was when he was healthy... Some of Darius's personality trait's will be based on some things how he reacted on some situations. Only in this story, Darius will survive...But I wanted to capture the essence of that boy I knew so long ago. If I were to truly dedicate this character to someone, it would be him. About vampires, I always wanted to create a vampire story..My sister & I always loved the vampire myth since we were 4 years old. And for admiring the myth for so long, we are used to the idea of what is separated of it's fears, & acknowledgments. Darius seems to be a common name for a dark character, but I like the idea of using a name that has meaning, part of it's origins means "Good" in a ancient Greek. I also thought it would be a good situation, to have a name that symbolizes the total opposite, instead of basing a belief that vampires are known to be evil throughout many generations. I hope you continue to enjoy this story Rina, & My heart goes out to you for the ones you know who has this disease. On another note: Ancestral Havens isn't a violent story, it may be a vampire story, but it won't be based on major graphic scenes. Just want to keep that in mind.. ^^; Thankyou for visiting by Rina... But in these dreams in this story..it's more than Darius's consciences/ subconsciousness, it's also a spiritual venture of what's yet to come. Dreams can be based on fear or a hidden emotion we all carry, but it comes out in dreams. (I wish I had more dreams like this) ;__; But I'm very happy your enjoying yourself, by reading this story so far. Actually I wasn't great with hands a few years back, so in some way this is a major compliment I'm proud of..^^ *Believe me sometimes, even now it isn't easy* About the text bubbles, yeah I know I'm new with those..but I wanted to create a dreamy orbs when things are discussed in a dream world in my story. I didn't want to create them in a hard color & tone, but a soft structure that is gentle. The balloons will change after the dream is over..like I mentioned before :D some of the text will be part of the panel design, or on the drawn picture in white bubbles.
