For those who are wondering, the Ordnance Survey is the official mapping agency of Great Britain. They still publish maps on those large fold out sheets you spread over a car bonnet - the kind of practical innovation Reg favours over damned infernal smartphones!
Many thanks to those who considered ADF worthy of a vote again in this years DD awards. And to all regular readers, I really do appreciate your continued support.

We'll find out why he doesn't need the map next time Mo. As for the stiff drink, he definitely still needs that!

WHY NOT?

Thanks PeiPei, I take that as a great compliment, especially with so much grey in the mix. I draw this with different colours just to get that out of my system!

Beautiful job on critters and foliage in the foreground! The background is also nicely done too :3! Is it okay to say that this entire page is so pretty? xD
Ironscarf at 3:23PM, Aug. 17, 2016
Thanks, foliage is fun! But if you're a fan of getting back to the real mystery, you may want to avert your eyes for the next few updates.
Bruno Harm at 12:37PM, Aug. 17, 2016
Back to the real mystery after all that speculation.. Great scene setting. And foliage!

@tupapayon: I know that feeling only too well! Thank goodness refridgerator doors still need to be reversed after delivery, or I'd be out to pasture.

@skreem: Haha! you had me going for a while there skreem! I came quite close myself once, but it was still too thick to fit in the glove compartment.

@plymayer: Especially when you're lost in the Peak District in a thunder storm with a force 9 gale blowing!
Ironscarf at 8:08AM, Aug. 17, 2016
@Gunwallace: Wish I'd thought of that! In fact, I'm going to claim you picked up on the subconscious thought processes that guided my hand all along. Yep, that was definitely my intention.

@bravo1102: Moths are notoriously bad at readings postits. They prefer to eat them or mate with them.

whenever I participated in an adventurous roadtrip, I was the map reader... with the arrival of the GPS I became obsolete...

I once re-folded an unfolded OS map back to it's original folded state. True, absolutely true.. O.K. I'm lying, everyone knows it's beyond the comprehension of carbon based lifeforms.

Love the Ordinance Survey. Great for walking.
Gunwallace at 10:19PM, Aug. 16, 2016
Attenborough voice: And here we see the eternal struggle between moth an owl, which mirrors the struggle inside the very house it takes place besides.
bravo1102 at 9:00PM, Aug. 16, 2016
Didn't the moth get the memo? Greys are favored this year. What loverly environs indeed. Breath of fresh air and all that.
Ironscarf at 8:07PM, Aug. 16, 2016
Thanks KL! Sometimes it's just nice to get outside for a breath of fresh air and a spot of wildlife appreciation.
KimLuster at 7:27PM, Aug. 16, 2016
