I'd say thats a couple of pretty good reasons... but there's always people who want to try and find loopholes against reasoning...

@RazorD9 You are correct! Major Kohi has magical armor that allows him to see better in the dark, (Even by cat standards.) and gives him 260 degree vision around himself. The drawback is that the armor's eyes glow a pale green making it obvious that he is using it and it makes him easier to find in the dark.

Don't tell Kohi the odds! He'd still stab you in the back, but he'll twist at the end a bit more. Not liking the glowing... I do effect wise, just means something freaky is up.
