Issue 0

Abt_Nihil on Sept. 28, 2008

Issue 0 contains three short stories, two of which explore the main character's personality (as #0 stories are supposed to, I guess), and the third of which was created for an indie anthology earlier this year. Oh, and it contains a bunch of illustrations I either commissioned or recieved as gift-art during the past year.

I am going to post the three stories and some selected illustrations - Weekly, if I can manage!

Fitz: Thanks, but… I think variety's the word :) If you look through my other comics you may find some archetypes, but all in all I think my women are pretty varied. I just have that picture in mind for each of them, and in Bombshell's case it's that, among other things, her punch should look like it's carrying weight ;-) And also, it's a type of woman I associate with Frank Cho's work, whom I've come to admire immensely, and this type seemed missing in my work so far. And lastly, I think it does add to the usual superhero-design fare; I see a lot of female superheroes who are designed to look like they're defying gravity completely, which to me always looks just wrong (but I think I told you this already). Not only should gravity take its toll (speaking of well-endowed), but you need some basic muscle-structure to counteract. But hey, I won't deny that I need to be convinced myself that my characters are to some extent hot in order to make them come across that way! ;-P

croxtonhas: Glad you like it, and welcome aboard!
