I'm a bit concerned. Maybe it's just me and I'm being paranoid or something, but I think I might be losing my audience here and I have no one to blame but myself. I don't know what it is, whether it's me, whether it's my work… I can't figure it out. I know I don't comment as much as I likely ought to, and I can easily change that, but is that the core issue here? I don't know. Anyway, here's the new ‘old’ comic and, as things are going, a new strip ought to be up by the end of next week. Maybe. Sorry about my bitching…

I didn't mean to go... I'm just too slow with my art and rely on the little asterisks! I think that lately there are also days that I completely forget to log on to the duck, in which case there wouldn't be any asterisk the next day. I'm an awful fan.

I have to agree with everyone below. You are good at what you do. People come and go but as long as you enjoy making your comic then that is key. All I can speak for is myself though and I am a fan who will keep on coming back for more. Best of luck Stew! Still digging the origins!

ditto what Amy said. the real fans will be with you for the long haul. I love your comic and love the old stuff and looking forward to the new stuff. I may just be a lot off people are busy and haven't been on is while or have just quit with their own comics. But you know its actually hard to say what it is. I can tell you its isn't your comic.

No prob. I get people that comment like crazy, then disappear forever...I have noticed my readership seems to have fallen too. I have actually seen a lotta Duckers with the same concern. I think a lot of people comment on your comic, hoping you'll come over and have a look at theirs and if you don't they quit commenting? I dunno. I try and go have a look at everyone's stuff when I get the chance but it's hard to keep up sometimes... It's also kind of hard to keep up with those updates every single time! :) I'll tell you that IMO, your comic hasn't faltered any. I don't see any reason to be worried that your work isn't good enough. Just my .02. Way too rambly today...
