bravo1102: That's true, though I believe war brings out the extremes of what makes each person. As for the poor sentry... well he had no reason or business being in a land that was not his, bullying the people that had a right to be there.

War brings out the worst in nearly everybody not just Nazis. I feel sorry for that poor sentry out in the cold. But it's for the Fatherland and at least he's not freezing on the Russian Front with warmly dressed Russians shooting at him.

Hacket is a Party stooge I would bet, while Achziger seems to be one of the officers that was placed where he is because of family. Most of them were riding on the coattails of a famous relative from WWI who would have been mortified to see them in their position. They affected the pseudo intellectual facade to hide their faults and perverted pleasures, drugs, alcohol, sadism, down and out theft, rape, pillage whatever debased activity they decided on. Just the kind of people you want in your neighborhood.

Man that poor nazi uniform, even doing its best it can't make Hacket look good. Poor thing probably get made fun of for how many times a tailor has had to let its waist out. Unless Hacket's Uniform can have the uniforms of Hacket's inferiors shot.
