Said "Hoop! There It Is!"

I'd just like to go on record saying that, by and large, our movies were TOTALLY more awesome than most of the crap that comes out these days.

Being a child of the early nineties (born in ‘85), I still remember going to see Space Jam, Aladdin, Beauty & the Beast, The Lion King, Batman Returns, Men in Black, Independance Day, A Muppet Christmas Carol… and of course, the ultimate 90s movie that EVERYONE saw (and should be a Federal Law that everyone MUST see before they turn 18), Jurassic Park.

Maybe our films aren’t masterpieces like the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but they're all still decent at worst, quite good at best, and DAMN were our blockbusters awesome! I mean, is Space Jam a great piece of literature? No. But does it have a much more solid and enjoyable story than the Spongebob Squarepants movie? Abso-freakin'-lutely! If the filmmakers of the late 80s and early-to-mid 90s knew anything, it was how to make movies FUN.
