SO… true story: I forgot, at first, that Enlarge Person also increases the size of your weapons accordingly, so Boudicca's attack now does FAR MORE than when I originally laid down the outline of this last bit of the storyline (it was going to be barely over 25 damage… however, rendered accurately, with a Huge +1 weapon and her strength, that would've been rolling VERY poorly - her minimum is 19 damage)The comic is accurate, based on that new info, but just some trivia that this wasn't originally planned to be quite THAT bloody. Also, I've discovered a new spell that makes this damage even more freakishly high - though I'll be saving THAT one for later…
It was more of a question of the spell for the freakish high damage. We had a goliath with a huge 2 handed mallet and greater mighty wallop doing 6d6 damage before STR & POWER ATTACK bonuses.
Nope. All her. She's wielding a +1 Huge Bastard Sword, which deals 3d8+1.The sword's natural size is Large, so under Enlarge Person, it's upped to a Huge weapon. She herself has a 20 STR (18 roll, +2 Racial Bonus). She's got +4 for Rage, +2 for Size, and +4 for Bull's Strength. And she's wielding the weapon 2-handed. So, she's dealing 3d8 + 1[Magic] + ((+5[Base STR] + 2[Rage] + 2[Bull's Strength] + 1[Size]) x1.5[Wielded Two-Handed]) = 3d8 + 1 + 15 = 24-40 damage (without Critical). In this case, she just rolled VERY well (7, 6, and 8)
By now this storyline has to be considered pretty novel in terms of storytelling. I was drawn to this comic by the characters and story, and you blew me over with Act 1. I'm not a D&D guy (though I am a wargamer), but this is still so fun that I'm not missing the relationship stuff that much (maybe 'cause I'm a guy). And I'm almost sure you're going to bring it all together somehow, probably very creatively, and I'm really looking forward to it. On paper this all seems like a nutty idea, but you're making it work brilliantly. Compelling stuff.

As I said previously... don't turn your back on the barbarian woman with anger issues. Especially if she's got a growth potion. :)
