For all he knows she may just want him for the blood, can't be too careful with those vampire girls. What's this stuff Emma is saying about pureness and being the First? Well…probably just that. But it'll get elaborated upon later….
I still feel pretty sick (coughing but it doesn't seem to be a real cold) but Nick's taking pretty good care of me, he says I should get some rest. I can't sleep good when I got finishing a comic on my mind though! Originally I was working on a digital page but it was running long and we had to go out of town to visit his parents (and do laundry, we haven't a washing machine or dryer here and not enough money for the laundromat with all the bills & stuff) I'm not sure when I'll update the next page now that I messed up the schedule, so it'll probably be later in the week unless I miraculously get more than one done this week…I have no idea why they take so long to do these days. Oh wait i know: I am getting picky! Anyway, I'm gonna take his advice and get some sleep now. By the way, regarding my husband and the thing about Night School that was in the forum: It was an April Fool's joke, he didn't steal anyone's character. He's really a wonderful guy, despite the word “Evil” being in his name. Of course my pen name is Greek for negligent so you can't really take those at face value, right right? I really need some sleep though, my reflexes are off and today I stabbed my chin with a mechanical pencil.(I was fumbling with stuff that was falling out of my lap when I was coloring) Not badly, just enough that it's irritating me right now!

Not exactly true. You cannot make insulting post that disrespect you or your fellow DD community member. But I think that's the spirit you meant it in, because you said....
It's just the morons who have nothing better to do than post idiotic insults with no real basis or logic that should consider their actions to be wrong-headed.
Which is right. ;)
Grimgork just expressed his opinion about the story. That's fine. Not every comic is for everybody, and sometimes you stop reading something that you have been a fan of because of the writing changes.
Seriously, I know Amy and Nick, and they don't mind constructive crits or comments. Of course if they didn't, then they'd be more than welcome to report the comment and I'd be more than happy to delete it.
I am always more than willing to mold comments into a gushing fan site if the author wants it that way.
Like some other sites I could mention. ;)
(start sarcasm) Right! what Onasaki said! No more negativity at all! No bad comments, no constructive criticism, nothing! Unless you totally adore this comic, plan to do nothing but gush over how wonderful it is, and are giving it a 5, keep your negativity to yourself! (end sarcasm)
C'mon now. Of course no one's forcing us to like it. I like it cuz it's fun to read and I actually care about the characters. Of course no one's forcing anyone to comment either, but that's the breaks of having a comments section. Everyone's FREE to comment as they see fit. Of course, that also means the creators and admins are free to DELETE as they see fit too. There's nothing wrong with having something constructive to say if one isn't inclined to throw themselves on the floor of the Charby temple in abject worship. It's just the morons who have nothing better to do than post idiotic insults with no real basis or logic that should consider their actions to be wrong-headed. "if you don't have anything nice to say. DON'T SAY IT" this would be one horribly messed up world if we all lived by this nugget of 'wisdom'. If nobody spoke up when something was being done wrong, we may not even be alive as a human race anymore. Besides, who the heck do you think you are to make demands of anyone?
Ok, this is like my fourth comment, and I'm getting sick and tired of this. If you don't like the comic. DON'T READ IT. No one is forcing you to LIKE it. No one is forcing you to comment. As we ALL assumedly learned in Kindergarten or whatever, if you don't have anything nice to say. DON'T SAY IT. Capice? Just stop it right now.
Don't get me wrong, you are a very good artist and you have a huge amount of talent concerning drawing and stuff, but...the story is just kinda lame. I don't want to be offensive, but where are the Pirates? :P
At the beginning it was so awesome, because the title really matched the story, but now I just got bored :(.
Again, no offense meant.
The comic looks great, the art just keeps on improving. The way its colored is really enhancing the images, If you taught yourself to draw Amelius it probably took many years of practice.
Man, those guys got pwn3d. Though the only positive thing is they managed get a shed load of ghost readers to come out of the wood work. Look's like every cloud DOES have a silver lining.
I think the only people who are missing something in their lives, are those that have nothing better to do than to flame amazing comics like Charby.
I havent read this other comic y'all are talking about, and from what I've seen of these Troll's pages I dont think I want to.
wow, talk about taking a lame concept "ridiculous Hot Topic comparison) and running with it! way to go agentsmith.
For the record, I like Charby and despise PU, and couldn't care less about Hot Topic, so I dunno where that puts me in these broad assumptions.
Well, it looks like our little monster hunter found himself a new girlfriend.
Well, get better. I know it sucks to be sick. Especially ONCE in a every darn month.
flapjack1995... deep down inside, the trolls do not want to read Disney Hot Topic Comic. Maybe you'll understand when you grow a bit older.
The point I was trying to make that it really doesn't matter whether you make a comic yourself or not, you're allowed to say your opinion and whether someone arguing with you has a more popular comic or not doesn't make the argument more or less valid by itself.
I think forty year olds who are reading Hot Topic Adventures really are missing something deep down inside of them... and perhaps it's too late in their lives to change their ways. A pity...
I feel dumb.. I didn't realize there was a new page up.(For some reason DD refuses to send me email for Charby.. but it will for UIU)
Whee! Later this week you say? It could end up being on my birthday! (April 10th.. I'm pacific time so DD is off for me)
Once again, I envy your marker skills.
He's not drawing his. he takes screenshots and edits text in, a child could do that much. Not knocking that medium, I've seen some terrific things done with it, but it's not that complex to do. And I never said they have to have a good comic, I don't have a single strip to my name, DD or otherwise.
Finally, I don't think age has too much to do with this, because a good story is a good story, and frankly it's a shame that comics are generally regarded as childish and not appreciated as the wonderful medium they are. Anyone who's read Sandman knows what I mean.
...
and I totally COULD cook something better! I make a mean stone soup!
i live in canada and i have NEVER heard of Hot Topic until now.
By the way, there are tons of idiots who already know about powerup and pretend to care while they flame everybody else. somehow by being allowed to flame powerup, they think they can pick on other people's comics. did i mention every single one of these people has a terrible comic of there own?
and a side note. I like this comic. So do many others. And deep down, these idiots do too. They just forget it because they're too busy being jealous.
and yes, people that can actually draw are often better critics because they appreciate the hard work put into it. often, not always. this is not to say that if you don't have your own comic you can't criticize a comic. many good people on DD don't have a comic and have the account solely to comment on other people's good work. but most of these people aren't idots.
and yes, agentseth, that's pretty much the whole idea. not that i can draw worth sh*t myself.
Emmzee, you can say what you want, in your little world it may even be true. But what it really comes down to is this:
It's better than your comics.
Along with being an actual artist, and not someone who plays around in half-life taking screenshots, Amelius actually has a story, characters that people like, and, wait for it, A FANBASE. So if you have any actual valid criticisms, by all means say it.
Also, for the record, THERE ARE NO HOT TOPICS IN CANADA. I know a good number of readers up here, so it's fair to assume that none of them go.
Aw man, the next comic is going to rock so much. >_> The countdown to Charby running into Q nears its end!
Amelius, I continue to be utterly amazed that you not only have gorgeous skills with Photoshop but with traditional mediums as well. Fantastic job!
(Also, just glancing down reminds me there's a reason I don't read other people's comments on the comics I enjoy. Ugh.)

Emmzee, I think the many 40 yrs and up readers would have to disagree that the fanbase of this comic consists of only teenagers. And where Hot topic is concerned, I've got more than a few comics making fun of that store here, so shallow wanna-goth/mope-alternative socialites are hardly the sort of crowd that's reading this. Of course, you wouldn't know since you just hopped into the first page and made a snap judgment about the comic because it has something to do with "vampires", right?
Actually, the fact that 40-somethings read this comic is highly indicative of the low IQ among its readers.
