For all he knows she may just want him for the blood, can't be too careful with those vampire girls. What's this stuff Emma is saying about pureness and being the First? Well…probably just that. But it'll get elaborated upon later….
I still feel pretty sick (coughing but it doesn't seem to be a real cold) but Nick's taking pretty good care of me, he says I should get some rest. I can't sleep good when I got finishing a comic on my mind though! Originally I was working on a digital page but it was running long and we had to go out of town to visit his parents (and do laundry, we haven't a washing machine or dryer here and not enough money for the laundromat with all the bills & stuff) I'm not sure when I'll update the next page now that I messed up the schedule, so it'll probably be later in the week unless I miraculously get more than one done this week…I have no idea why they take so long to do these days. Oh wait i know: I am getting picky! Anyway, I'm gonna take his advice and get some sleep now. By the way, regarding my husband and the thing about Night School that was in the forum: It was an April Fool's joke, he didn't steal anyone's character. He's really a wonderful guy, despite the word “Evil” being in his name. Of course my pen name is Greek for negligent so you can't really take those at face value, right right? I really need some sleep though, my reflexes are off and today I stabbed my chin with a mechanical pencil.(I was fumbling with stuff that was falling out of my lap when I was coloring) Not badly, just enough that it's irritating me right now!
I normally would just enjoy the installment and move on without drawing attention. But, these comments are funny. It's cute how the Powerup fans feel the need to bash comics that are actually made to entertain fans instead of infuriating them simply because powerups day in the sun was shorter than a flies lifespan in the middle of december. I come here because I really like the story and the art is very unique and simply superb. Making rash and baseless accusations like that is nothing short of immature. Oh, and to avoid any confusion, I DO NOT shop at Hot Topic. Honestly, the cashier there scares the hell outta' me. Not that that has anything to do whatsoever with the comic though.
Keep up the good work Amelius. I may not speak, but I'm always listening. ;)
lol
oh hell, I just spent the last couple days reading this from the beginning xD
Very comical.
o_o and I don't really see how its related to JTHM, it doesn't even seem that remotely close to me. - - and since when does dark comedy get singled down to that?
Anyways, very enjoyable comic and artwork :}
I think you miss my point, permit me to rephrase my question.
What does shopping at Hot Topic have to do with Charby?
I'll note those are complaints about the store itself not with shopping there. Logically based on your complaints if I buy non-name brand stuff there, on sale in an attempt to be trendy then I've just been a clever shopper.
Hot Topic is just like any other mall store, the point is Hot Topic doesn't have anything to do with this comic and bringing it up was just an attempt to be insulting.
Plus I really doubt your issue is with the store itself or do you mean to tell me you get this worked up over Walmart too? "Darn Walmart shopppers reading comic X!"
If you've got a problem with a comic, go ahead and complain about the comic (It is a free web & I know I complain about comics all the time), but this sort of nothing to do with the comic comments are just really petty and that goes for commenting on any comic not just Charby.
If you want to start a thread about Hot Topic in the forums I'm sure you'll get a ton of people who agree with you, many readers of this comic included, but that really has nothing to do with Charby the Vampirate.....Hector maybe but not Charby, Charby seems more like a Target shopper.
Cute page!!
That was a funny April Fool's joke, too.
I think Charby's back on the top spot(^_^) I've never read Powerup Comics, nor do I want to, really. So... Whatever (@_@)
Hope you feel better Amy!

Emmzee, I think the many 40 yrs and up readers would have to disagree that the fanbase of this comic consists of only teenagers. And where Hot topic is concerned, I've got more than a few comics making fun of that store here, so shallow wanna-goth/mope-alternative socialites are hardly the sort of crowd that's reading this. Of course, you wouldn't know since you just hopped into the first page and made a snap judgment about the comic because it has something to do with "vampires", right?[/quote]
Served.
@amelius: Powerup comics? He doesn't actually have fans. The vast majority are the people coming up with the "ideas" on a forum. It's designed to be horrible to look at.
On the other hand it's nice that you don't mind being knocked off the throne. ^^ FYI: Not a troll.
Amelius i hope you feel better soon and i agree our favorite hunter better be carefull with the elite ladies. never know what there thinking. also GET WELL SOON ! : ]

Where should I start?
The part where they stock clothing exclusively from highly overrated movie franchises?
The part where they charge twice as much for an Iron Maiden shirt than what is charged on Iron Maiden's online store?
The part where they're "alternative" and "out there," but they're just as trendy as Hollister or American Eagle?
Big woop, trolls, he beat a comic that doesn't advertise anywhere! That, and the readers here read this comic because they LIKE IT, not because it's drawing attention by its hateful fanbase.
Everyone else, just ignore these guys. They just want attention.
This is THE best drawn comic online and has a wonderful story line that is not totally predictable like every other comic on the internet(apart from "Jack")and Amelius does it every week,I mean, how many of us could do that at that standard?
Wow... I am so sorry that a gem like Charby has been kicked to the number 2 spot, by a no skilled comic like Powerup. They may have more readers, but at least you have a devoted fan base that actually enjoys reading your comic.
To be clear from what I know of Powerup Comics, it has a hate based readership (It offends people to get them read the comic) more so then its actual fan base. Ysqure is clearly just trying to keep Powerup alive and well.
"Maybe they are just really lazy and wanted Samrick to do all the work for the party. That is why I would have asked Samrick."
LOL, Word to that Nick. That would've been my primary motivation as well.
Perhaps Amelius had the party planned for a while now, but wanted the story to progress as well. maybe it is easier to just have the plot happen at the party (where every one is already) than make up a few dozen time-consuming pages with a reason for them all to move to a new location?
Now this is in no way offical, this is just me talking here with no input from Amy but I think they wanted to hold it at Samrick's for a few reasons.
1. They wanted impress Charby and a little cave of sanctum(SP) somewhere wouldn't have done that.
2. Charby and Samrick are fairly friendly it seems so the probably figured that holding it at Samrick's would help make him more comfortable.
3. I think maybe they might have been tryin to suck up to Samrick a bit too. He obviously is enjoying all this, maybe they thought it would be a way to get on King Sammy's good side.
4. Maybe they are just really lazy and wanted Samrick to do all the work for the party. That is why I would have asked Samrick.

I see that DD is populated by mostly teenage girls who shop at Hot Topic nowadays, judging from this comic's readership and fanbase...
