Sadness and frustration, my dedicated USB stick I used to transfer files from my work computer to this crappy laptop is dead! Just, right in the middle of uploading stuff, it stopped getting read by any of the computers. Bummer, but I'm reluctant to drop a lot of money on recovering everything off it at the time. It's just annoying and an inconvenience. Thankfully I had a spare but blah, lost a lot of stuff I had saved on there too…

Hey now I'm not that dumb!(のε の) I've got stuff double-backed up. That's why it's an "annoying inconvenience" and not "the end of the world"! I lost things that were yet to be transferred because I didn't expect it to give up on me so suddenly. References, gift art, fonts, brush files I was intending to upload, stuff like that. I don't save things to this laptop though because it's on its last leg; it's propped up on a pencil tray since it overheats when it sits flat, the screen's corrupted and it's been rebooted several times, so there's no point in toying with fate on this one.

... shouldn't those files be on the work computer and on the laptop? Having something on just one device is almost losing it already ...
