Interesting fact: John Lydon is more commonly known as Johnny Rotten, the leader of Sex Pistols - a group that existed only three years, from 1975 to 1978. He was admitted to the band created by Malcolm McLaren not because of his talent, but for his “punky” image - much like Sid Vicious, later on. He was known for his red spiky hair and… rotten teeth (to which he owed his stage name). A punk icon to many, he had more success with his other band, Public Image Ltd., in the post-rock genre. Their work influenced the industrial music and such artists as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Massive Attack.
