Then you click back to the bottom layer (the one that has the lock symbol and click “yes†to delete it.

Do you mind explaining the purpose of this step, please? What is the benefit to creating a copy of the layer then deleting the original over just using the original layer? Thanks.

you're so good with the tutorials, but my photoshop doesn't have as many choices as yours i only have editor-photoshop elements 3.0
