HIATUS

KitKatMuffin on June 7, 2015

There are several reasons why I feel like I should take a break; However, let me be the first to apologize for throwing this out of the blue. The editor and I have been talking about it and we think this was a good idea to take a break not before continuing the story any further.

Now here are my reasons for the hiatus.

1) Learning Photoshop
Lately I've been thinking about switching from using my normal program (PaintTool SAI) to Photoshop CS6, but in order to do that I would have to spend quiet a bit of times getting use to it, so I'll be practicing and self-teaching myself the program, and the reason I'm doing this is because I always want to provide the best and cleanest pages for my reader. Plus this gives me a good chance to lean a professional program to help improve my skills in a artist field.

2) College
YES, after many years of doing the “what if” dance, I've finally pushed myself to applying and working hard to going to community college. The reason for this is because I had an emotional breakdown during my lunch time at work (not going into details) and with that it finally gave me some clarity about a few things, one of those things being about STOP SECOND GUESSING MYSELF AND JUST GOING FOR IT. I'm not fully sure what I want to do in life, but I'm pretty sure its going to involve drawing comics.

3) Opening Shop
Like I said, I had a clarity about my self doubt, and the one thing I've always second guessing myself was opening a shop. Well, not anymore. Starting tomorrow I will be working on some posters, and sticker designs and will be saving up for a button machine to start making buttons as well. Obviously the shop will be on Etsy since its handmade stuff so feel free to follow the CramBerries Tumblr
to see previews of the upcoming items!

4) Just Needing a Breather
Lately I've been stressing out about attempting to get some comic work done, and because I have a full time job and I'll be going to college soon. It has left me a bit more stressed out then it should. The editor started to get a bit worried and mentioned a few weeks ago that I should take a break, now if you guys knew me well, the idea of taking a break from Cramberries is like taboo to me. I love the comic and I love providing the pages on time for the reader's satisfaction, and not working on it is so painful. However, the idea of refreshing my ideas for the upcoming chapters, working on my art techniques, and taking a break all at the same time makes me feel a bit better.

Thank you for understanding and I'll be posting some doodles during my break!
