We PROMISE this will be the absolutely LAST time our heroes will face one of Vector's overwhelming space fleets. Of course, that's a statement that can be taken two ways… Isn't this page a knockout? Outstanding work by Essaybee. But wait. This is just PART of the full page. Unfortunately, Drunkduck won't fit the entire page without shrinking it down… So follow this link…and see the whole thing at http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com/crossk2page.htm .
We also have some sad news, just found out on the 10th. Aisaku, who's contributed magnificently in the past to this comic had a stroke—and passed away, at age 32.
We're not sure if the comic Tuesday will be what we originally planned, or perhaps a tribute page.
He was a wonderful artist, a wonderful human being, and a delight to work with, and he will be missed.
32? a bit off normal, is there some other complication that helped bring this about? i didn't know him personally, but i knew he supported more than one comic i liked, some not even here on the duck, so he was fairly important to web comics, weird considering that he was only 32. in relation to the comic itself, did they get through the portal and then break off, or were they about to escape the blockade when they realized there was one and so stayed?
Bee has an amazing sense of perspective and proportion.
Also. I am sorry to hear of Aisaku's passing. I don't remember what pages he's done, but I trust the opinions of most everyone here.
Indeed, a great page. So very sad about AiSaku - some of the most beautiful pages in Crossoverkill were by him, and, as I'm only just learning, he had produced a wealth of fantastic art, a terrible shame.
Blockage? Didn't they wanted to get through the portal? Blockage tends to not be really effective if it's not between you and your goal ...
Damn. Being webcomics artists seem to be very dangerous job with lots of health risks ... he will be missed.
