Crossoverlord gave me an excuse to try out my new design for Dasien's costume. I've gently bumped her timeline ahead a few chapters so that she's using a modified Crimson Gestalt uniform.
Incidentally, the Gizmo Bug originated from a webcomic called Liberty: The American Girl, which is sadly no longer on the internet. In using this character, I wanted to have an homage to the silliness of that series as well as perhaps gently prod series creator Alan Brzozowski into bringing it back.
These days, Alan is strictly a photographer, and his website is is located at www.capriphotography.com.
And yes, Gizmo Bug's wings really did make the *SCHWING!* noise when deployed.
Sweet. He looks like the Tick and Arthur but combined...for EVIL! That should illegal as it breaks both the laws of God and man! lol
So, that comic is no longer online or is it just not updated anymore?
Well, gentle readers. It dawned on me at the eleventh hour (almost literally) that today's comic actually screwed up the reference I had originally intended. There are very few readers who are going to get the motive behind the change, but those who do will crack a knowing smile.
Sigh... I hate when I screw up gags.
I bet he's not the FIRST supervillain to go "schwing!" around Dasien...
Well, if anyone thus far has schwinged for Dasien, it would have to be Red, because it's certainly not Ruby.
You know what's interesting? The only time Gizmo Bug makes that noise is when a sexy supeheroine is around, so maybe it's not his wings afterall.
Schwing-tastic! "Gizzy" has a bit of "The Tick" absurdity about him.
Yes, I had noticed that Gizmo Bug had some Tick traits as I was drawing him. He looks like The Tick with some sort of bizarre skin condition or something.
Does this mean Daisy joing the Gestalt? hmm...
Well, all I'm going to say for now is that she's utilizing their technology.
