Daisy Mae in her own Bazaar puts on a much more cartoonish appearance. We thought it might throw the comic a little off-balance to have a humanoid Animaniacs-style fox appear, so we decided (with the author's permission) on the “aspects” bit…especially since the author said her usual look was also an “assumed” shape. Her reality is much more mystical.
However, I wanted at least a nod to her “usual” look. Hence the reflection.
Now we meet the hosts….the Keepers of the Armory. Next time we'll learn their origin, how they got stuck guarding the multiverse's mightiest weapons of mass destruction— and their relationship with “Ringo”, the floating white-masked seperator of realities.
It's certainly a gauntlet of some untrademarked origin. Perhaps it's less than finite. I can't say for sure.
*knock-knock* "Marvel legal team!"
Oops! Gotta go!
Oops, looks like Al beat me to the punch. Speaking of whom...
Testing it, no more, Neil. If the walls can withstand the sun's core, they can withstand lasers...and lasers are good for a lot of other things besides destruction, like getting VERY accurate measuremens, for instance.
I knew you were going to say that they were just scanning it. I'm not opposed to that interpretation, as ad hoc as it may be. In cases like this, I don't mind pointing out my minor errors for the little people out there reading this.
Oh yeah...
Just so we don't give Hogan a headache here, none of these weapons are intended to represent any particular comic, although they have obvious parallels. For example, that certainly seems to be a power gauntlet of some sort, but is it the Infinity Gauntlet? Not necessarily.

Kam, two out of three. That "beetle-like device" appears to be the Ultimate Nullifier from Marvel, the device even Galactus fears. (Or actually, these are other-dimensional doppelgangers of same---as the other two objects resemble other-dimensional duplicates of the Sword of Shadows from the Wotch and the Storm of Souls from Dominic Deegan. None of these are the ORIGINALS we've seen from the Marvel Universe, etc., but similar devices from parallel universes...locked up here for the multiverse's safekeeping. So there's no continuity problems.)
so thats why you needed insanely powerful objects. If I would have know then I could have mentioned the dagger of Shazorn, a wizard of great and insane power who had to be contained within it because he wanted to destroy the universe and rebuild upon the the ashes a new universe with him as leader and all that jazz. Mind you, I was tyoing with the idea of a magic dagger back when the call went out and just recently completed his back story but if I wou8ld have known the thoughts would have come together back then,
The "reflected aspect" is a nice touch.
A humanoid fox wouldn't necessarily throw the comic's balance off. Especially since this comic deals with alternate realities. It is quite conceivable that at least one of the multitudes of "reality" would contain a walking and talking Fox.
Am I correct in assuming that some of the objects in Panel 3 are the Infinity Gauntlet, a Cosmic Cube & a Beetle device from Blue Beetle? (The sword also looks familiar, but damned if I can place it.)
Here we explain that the robots were trying to intercept Daisy Mae, as opposed to trying to breach the outer walls of the Armory.
Of course, you'll have to ignore the panel of mine from a few pages back, in which there was indeed a robot firing eye lasers at the building.
Oops.
