I threatened… err, I mean PROMISED Al all the way back at the beginning of this project that there was going to be a hug. Quietly, I sat through the story, waiting for this day to come. And when Dan Magee volunteered to do one last page, I grinned from ear to ear, because I knew it would be in good hands.
Today we start saying good-bye. Some heroes will retain the bonds they've made. Others won't. Green Avenger, lured into Smiley's services with false promises, has opted to have the memories of this event taken away. And who could blame her?
As for Lisa, well, you're just going to have to tune in on Thursday to find out what happens to her. It's a very special Crossoverlord finale.

Lewis/Linkara thought that Lightbringer would rather not see Mindmistress again, and we're letting the creators determine the best reactions for each character. Just like it was Abby, TGA's creator, who decided TGA'd rather lose the memory of the incident.
It's a shame. I think in a way Lorelei admired Lightbringer most of the group, but his unyielding morality---which is a part of his character, and a part of his character's appeal...won't allow any exception to his principles.
Oh, well. At least we have the bit in the CROSSOVER WARS where they worked well together.
Ultra is very similar in outlook to morality, but I think just a little more...forgiving? Understanding? He's a private detective, he sees the seamy side, he knows people aren't perfect.
Awww For all the Ribbing those two had they're Awesome buddypeoples. =3 Now if only Mindmistress and Lightbringer can make peace then everything will be awesome.
Algeya, maybe there'll be a beach/pool/pajama party reunion sometime...OW!! Or maybe not...(for a creation of my own mind, Mindmistress hits hard..)

Confession time: part of the initial impetus for me in this is to have Mindmistress and Dasien snipe at each other. Neil and I had long ago determined that they would NOT get along.
But...
Over time, sort of like Legolas and Gimli in LOTR, or Monk and Ham in Doc Savage, Dasien, at least, has grown to like MM/Lorelei, in her own way...and wouldn't let MM leave without a hug. I really, really, REALLY like that last panel.
It's so..Dasien, who has a big heart. (And MM's uncomfortable expression is so..MM.)
