Who says that tough chicks can't feel any emotion? She's still a woman last I checked, and we can be emotional at times, especially through something like this. I would think that it would be more out of character for her to not feel anything for the loss of her child. It's just motherly compassion guys. Moms often blame themselves when they aren't able to support a child properly. I've witnessed this sort of thing in my life before and it's just a realistic response to a realistic situation :p.

I wasn't saying it was unrealistic either...it just scares me to see her that low. I've seen the effects of miscarriage on a woman a few times, the depression is pretty unavoidable. The measure of guilt is always attached to the loss. But with Orn it's like the pendulum swung to the complete other end of the arc and I fear that she might do something drastic in her despondency.

I never said her response was unrealistic. It is entirely so. ;) Just that she was being hard on herself and her reasoning is entirely untrue, as it is. As he points out. And I'm sure she knows that too, but in these instances, emotions will make a person forget fact and logic and dwell on bad things. In any case, it's good that her friend can bring her out of that dark place with the mention of other people. I would also disagree with the claim that she's "not badass Orn from the Faction yet." She has already stood strong and recovered from seriously harsh crap -- time and again. Badass people can have emotions. They hurt. They recover and move on (or bottle it all up internally, which is a terrible way to be). A non-badass would have curled up and died months if not years ago.
