I think it's a little weird having a comic character read a comic… I was thinking though if I were an other worldly being and was studying other cultures pictures would be a great way to start some progress. Yet it would be deceptive…

“cant wait to see where this goes next. hmm 573 pages and a few years and
still don't know where his name will come from, despite alluding to a
story behind it way back on page one.”
“@aqua
i have a theory about that, if this is a comic with a set ending, the
last page would have his naming. otherwise, naming things, particularly
people, is a very human thing, maybe it will be a ceremony in the human
club soon.”
Saturno doesn't get the name “Saturno” for a long while yet and it's not from the Human Club. This comic title is Demon Eater. The comic title does not become Saturno the Demon Eater until after the Human Club arc. So perhaps my banner is decieving. (There was so many different Demon Eater things coming up in google searches out there that Saturno the Demon Eater is more unique.)

@LordHacked Well to be objective a lot of drawings are actually to communicate about real subjects. Before the invention of photography that’s how we recorded events and places. Additionally not everything that is drawn is fake or fantasy some good examples are medical drawings (think 19 century anatomy), historical paintings (places/people) and technical schematics (circuit boards, machine diagrams). I like the idea of Saturno not knowing that some humans like to read make believe fantasy that is unrealistic. It reminds me of Galaxy Quest and how the aliens didn’t know the TV show was made up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_illustrator http://campar.in.tum.de/twiki/pub/Students/DaHotspotVisualization/leonardo.JPG http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Watt_steam_pumping_engine.JPG http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Jacob_Leupold_Steam_engine_1720.jpg

Its not odd at all that he's reading a comic book in a comic strip. It would only be weird of you did a space balls version of him finding a page of himself reading the book. Great job with all the comics so far, you are one of the reasons I return to the site often to check for updates. I do wish i would get a warning of alpha appearing when i look at your comic in public. Cheers

It's obvious that Saturno has a good imagination, and can lie, so he must be able to make stories. But we haven't seen any stories, or cultural artifacts. Is the entire idea foreign to him? Is it even possible for Saturno to comprehend what is a "story"?

Called it :3 This might give Sat a reason to grow even stronger in the end, just to make sure he isn't killed in either world.
