I just realized that it's ambiguous whether he is hungry for knowledge itself, or power. It's not clear if he is leaving the group because they hold him back from learning, or from becoming stronger. This is a master stroke on your part! Kudos to you!

Running away might work. Attacking the others seems futile. He is not on their level and he should know it.

Oh, I see so that's why he left. I guess that makes some more sense then them letting someone totally uninterested in humans get to be as strong as them. Great page. Nice choice on the lack of focus on himself and the focus on objects. Also interesting since he picked up a bat.
