Dark Rose--The beginning of this issue had Savunn and her friends talking about going to a concert over winter break. That's the concert they're at during her intro in Crossoverkill. There's a few other things I plan on doing to help cement Crossoverkill's events into Fusion's continuity, but that won't be until later, obviously, since Crossoverkill still hasn't happened yet in Fusion.
Dark Rose--SAS refers to the Stupendous Alliance of Superheroes, one of the superhero groups in Fusion's world (and founded by Captain Stupendous, Riveter, and Brooder). More about the politics and national status of such groups will be explained in this story arc (and will be briefly explained next issue).
algeya--Never read Astro City (but I did like Busiek's "Marvels" series); the name (like Monstro City) is a pun, and meant to reflect a pseudo-Gotham.
Also, if I don't respond to a comment (such as queries about the thief or Brooder's reaction), it's not because I'm ignoring the comments, but because I don't want to give away any spoilers.
Brooder also doesn't play well with others. Everyone was involved with the distraction, but since the theft happened in HIS city no one else can help out.
Hmmmm... Sounds to me like a Catwoman/Poison Ivy type character. Is Brooder actually a bit happy about her being involved? Or is it just because Lord got robbed?

Silly Brooder, it might be your city, but that won't keep other supers out. ;-)

jurisdictional boundaries, every criminal thinks it will stop cops, and every supervillain thinks it won't stop superheroes.
