Y'know I''ve been wondering for a while now if the font I use is too big. My laptop screen is a little small (13"), and at this size it helps me to read the comic better, but I was wondering if it's too big for everyone else? I mean I wouldn't mind it being smaller if that means I don't have to cover up so much art, as long as people can read the comic… Poor Nuada got the brunt of it on panel 5. ^_^;
I have gift art planned for the first person who recognizes the second flying object in panel 2… to be posted this Wednesday.
Boo! No one even guessed who it was in the second panel... ;_;
Fine. It's 11:24pm, and I want to sleep. So the object in the second panel... is... Goldorak! A wildly popular giant robot character in Europe around the 1970s to 1980s. In Japan he's known as Grendizer. By the infamous Go Nagai!
Since I'm the one who guessed right, that means I win the fan art! Yay me! *goes to post fan art*
@JazylH: Heh heh... Thanks, It was fun...
@mlai: I highly believe in the box model. The 3D, though is hit and miss... Sometimes I miss by a lot.
@alejkhan: Glad someone saw them... Not all my efforts go in vain! I thank mlai for suggesting to put in the clouds, otherwise it wouldn't look like night.
Ed came up with the 2nd panel, and the interaction of the first. Because originally I had Nuada say what Cat said. But yeah the current way is better. Besides the humor, Ed expanded on the fact that Cat's idea of "aliens" is completely different from that of the others.
Especially Hanes. He sees aliens the way we see ethnicities. He doesn't even know what the word "alien" means. To him, people are New Worlders and Old Worlders.
Artwise, I like Ed's grasp of solid space, shown here in his depiction of Flash's armour. When he draws a 3D object, it never feels flat. I have that problem, and I hide it with overlying detail. It must be all his practice drawing robots.
@gio: You got it! When mlai was running the script by me, I was like... it doesn't seem out of the ordinary, but in her mind she's thinking of vampires and wolfmen, so when she's describing the people she knows her dialogue makes more sense... mlai's a genius!
