If you're wondering how Chaerius knows anything about this, it's because Sadryn told him. While he and Sadryn will go at each other when the Keepers meet, outside of that they're a lot more like coworkers who don't like each other. They'll share information when they have to, and this was the sort of thing it seemed important to share.
You may have noticed that from the flashbacks, Aion was NOT the one who killed the previous Keeper. He's not a very hands-on guy, he doesn't like surprises and only gets involved when he knows there's no risk to him. So…he had an underling do it, which really didn't help matters.
The shading here's a bit sloppy, but I'm working on the early pages of the next chapter now, and I think I've largely fixed it.
Thanks for reading! See you next week!

Hmm, interesting. Good dialogue explanation here, although I guess that it seemed pretty obvious that the kid was older than he looked, although it sounds like he has killed(directly or indirectly) several keepers...interesting. Also it sounds interesting I kind of assumed that the only way a keeper was supposed to die was by another keeper so old age or disease would seem like counter productive to this set up...interesting.
