Winzrella: I'm actually trying for a deliberately Finnish flair to these forests, since my normal default is all evergreens (like where I grew up) :-)
Kalliikak: Comedy is tragedy happening to somebody else.
Nice autumn colors, Kaj!
Nice details the bird and the bunny.
The last panel reminds me of a lot of typical artworks I have seen in Ateneum (you know the place I'm talking about :)) for show. I just can't get any specific artist in mind...
oh, no no, the story is fine! it's great! characters under your tutelage are simply destined for misery! it's to be expected XD (hehe, that's the joke i guess) i had gotten to the end of book 2, with all the bright colors and thought 'wow, that was sort of a happy-ish, well, i mean, it wasn't as horrible as it could be (except lyss died q.q), oh wait... book 3? they are all doomed!" and thank you, though i never truly leave... i just stop participating for years at a time <.<;
Hm, does that mean I'm getting too repetitious? Perhaps I should have some good things happen, and keep 'em happening. If it helps, I hope for them too, and unless he screws it up there is a long-term Good Thing coming along for Will. But let me know if I'm getting too bogged-down in making everything miserable, because I would like the comic to be occasionally ... comic. Also, welcome back! I just went and saw what you've done with your site, and it is looking lovey! I miss the watercolor, though.
the rosy fingers of dawn. i keep hoping for these characters. hoping that things can end well, hehe. i suppose that joke must be getting old by now. but in honesty, when i start to hope for them, i start to worry. like... that a brief moment when things are horrible might be the best they can expect. the first parts of chapter 18 are like that i think. a testament to good story telling i suppose. something very real and frightening about the predicaments at hand.
