i almost never use a ruler when pencilling but tweak things digitally. another idea for you. just take suggestions, perhaps try them and find what works for you.

Actually, that jaggedy-ness comes when I ink, at least on the outer edge. I pencil by first tracing a comic book I already have (I use a misprint copy of issue 5 of my comic) to get the right dimensions. Inside the page, I just go with freehand, so that's even in the pencilling stage. However, I don't use a rule at all when inking, which leaves the pages as such. I know I should be using a ruler and such, but it's amazing how hard rulers are to lose--and I also worry about my tremors screwing things up, because if my hand shakes with a ruler, it tends to make an even worse mess than without. Long story short: yeah, I should take your suggestion and suck up my own problems with the method.

@Shastab24, at least you keep trying. Improvements will come. One small thing that would make a difference is to use a ruler when doing the panels. It's a minor gripe but an easy fix.

I just look at this page and see the flaws. As I do with everything I draw. Oh well, at least that can help me improve (it's better than seeing nothing wrong with a deeply flawed picture).

Wow, yeah, the composition on that last panel is epic! And I love how it mirrors the panel directly above it. Very clever.
