http://theduckwebcomics.com/Heroes_Alliance/5444628/ ...there's a quick glimpse of the talk of "killing" in this panel during the ninja issue. I admit, it's not much, but I think it does reinforce the idea that killing is something Peligroso is comfortable with. He's been pretty cranky all this episode, too XD
I agree it's not been shown much but I imagine that's because there hasn't been an opportune moment to show it until the moment we have here. When I first saw it, I wasn't surprised...it does seem natural to his character, imo. There's a lot of characters on the team who are willing to kill, and he definitely strikes me as one.
Ha, that's a good likeness for Bombshell, Brad. xD Re: Peligroso, yeah that's very consistent with his origin story. For me, I think the issue is that traits like "a warped desire for vengeance" and "wanting nothing more than to bust heads" haven't really come through in previous HA issues. To me he just comes across as a stoic guy with a dry sense of humour who enjoys a good fight. When he's not fighting he seems laid back rather than itching for some ultra-violence. And even when he's in a fight he only occasionally seems berserk. I remember him once being thrown off the edge of a building in a fight and waiting patiently for the elevator ride back to the top! (Which was very funny, BTW. :D). There's been no dialogue that I can recall like "If I don't get out of here and bust some skulls soon, I'll go nuts". And he's never had to be pulled off a villain for getting too into the violence. It just doesn't really seem foreshadowed in HA itself since the origin story.
@Abt_Nihil: Why didn't you tell us that Bombshell would be on Comedy Central's 'Key & Peele' !! I dig the new costume and name change.

(The whole skit is worth watching, it's hilarious)
As Peligroso's creator I think they nailed him pretty well. I also think that what Iron says is true in that he doesn't think Kaine or Azu have the gumption to do what is necessary which is to destroy ZQ for the purpose of saving lives. Peligroso in my eyes is the kind who has the guts to say "We should kill them if they truly deserve it" and unlike other villains except for Thrawn, all of them haven't done anything extraordinarily awful enough to deserve death. That maybe why it seems out of the blue.
I have to agree and say this is very much in Peligroso's nature, we just haven't really gotten around to seeing him in this situation before. It might have a little something to do with his company, too...I don't think Peli really respects either Kaine or Azu, so is making his own judgement call. If he were with Bombshell, for instance, he might think otherwise.
Hm, personally, I think it's very consistent with Peligroso's personality. Just read his origin story: "I wanted nothing more than to bust heads", "my mind became warped, given a desire for vengeance", "anger pouring in my veins"... We've never previously seen him in a situation in which he was able to decide what to do with villains, that may be the difference here. Also, Azumorph was already in a pretty bad place when he arrived, that may have contributed to this outcome.
I'm interested in what people have to say about Peligroso here - in particular the next page. Do you agree/disagree with what he's saying here? It's back to the usual "if Batman killed The Joker early on then loads of lives would have been saved" - where do you stand in this argument?

Honestly, it seems kind of out of the blue. Why hasn't this come up with any previous villains? I'm giving it time to see where it goes, though...
