I totally botched the last two panels. Working with unfamiliar software there. Sorry. And yeah, this first part of the story's pretty slow and dark, but it does kick into high gear after the next few pages.

Amazing Work

People keep asking me if there will be life after House of the Muses. Dragged this old series from 1980 out of my storypile. Give me some feedback and let me know what you think. If I get actual comments from interested readers, not just a lot of rubbernecking, I might consider pushing it forward. Boob alert: http://bit.ly/cXMNoa Oh. Boob alerts not necessary at this venue. Go ahead, Cid.

Actually the lighting effects in the last panel are very dramatic.

'Oh my!'? Interesting how two words can inspire so many questions in the mind.
El Cid at 9:00AM, April 21, 2010
Thanks! I think when you compare those last two panels with the first two, the lighting's a lot more flat and ineffective. They're not bad, I guess, but I just hate being inconsistent like that. But then I don't really have a set system yet on how I'm postworking these... and it gets even harder when I'm interchanging renders from different apps. *SIGH* I'm working on it.

Nooo...this is REALLY REALLY nice work with the lighting. I love it. Very nice job!!!
El Cid at 6:46AM, April 21, 2010
It's primarily Carrara and Vue. Vue is what's been giving me all the headaches. It doesn't seem to play nice with other apps and crashes all the time, but I can make some really neat environments with it when it works. I'm thinking just to save my sanity though, I'm going to start doing most of the environments in Carrara as well. It's not as impressive, but it's sooooo much easier to work with.

I'm really liking this. what other software are you using besides Poser?
plymayer at 5:52AM, April 21, 2010
The lighting is very effective.
