You know that there's already a second "Labyrinth" ? It's called "Return to Labyrinth", and it's published by Tokyopop.
But, eh, the drawings... kinda... suck. Yeah. T___T
Perfection is indeed a hard thing to actually achieve, but that's not really the point here... and not wanting perfection hardly makes you an alien :P I was just giving you the reasons why I found the text to be 'yucky looking' and why that wasn't an insult, just an opinion.
There's an old saying, 'never be perfect'. I don't want perfection, it's the most foolish illusion of all to me. Why should the comic be uniform in shade? Who said so? Why do it another way when this way manages just fine? Perhaps it's just human nature, this exspectation. I don't much care for it personally. I think that makes me an alien sometimes.
Roke - when I said the balloons/text looked yucky, I wasn't trying to suggest that all text bubbles need to look the same (I actually don't like the way I do text and text bubbles, but am kind of stuck with it at the moment) - what doesn't look appealing about them is the way they don't match the rest of the art/page very well.. they're too black and pixellated looking compared to the softer, smoother pencil lines of the comic :)
Also, the way the text goes right up and touches/just touches the border of the balloons in some places is another issue where they don't look as nice as they could.
Iagojester, guess what...it's in england, japanese style and format, and I write in english with a german company pen. I think it's just fine as is. I was actually thinking in doing it all in Japanese but then barely anyone I know would understand it.
Perspective, meh I lost interest in drawing Sarah. I never really liked her and just focused on making her cute. It's Toby's veiw, not birds eye and you'll actually see why it looks that way soon. The bubbles though....just because I don't do them the way you do or that most do doesn't make them yucky.
I'm not drawing the Wild Gang, (disembowling puppets) However....Ambrocious the fox will be there and a few more old favorites. Just so you know ...Merlin the dog (Sarah's sheep dog) is gone.
Yes, there's some problems with perspective here, and the text/speech balloons seems a bit... yucky looking... but the characters all look quite nice :) It will be interesting to see how the story develops.
Yup, the cliche Toby-grown-up-Jareth's-still-watching fic plot. But it's soooooo lovely to see it in comic form. ^^
Darn you though, I soooo wanted to do this when I got my other stuff finished. XDDD Now I'd just be the poser. *lol* Ah well, it's more fun to read than to do the work and you draw Jareth way hotter than I ever could. :P Yaaaaa~y!
xxxDDDD Hahahahahaha. *sits, having popcorn* All that frightens me, though, is seeing those really disturbing uh... self-disembowling bird-muppet.... things..... Dx *wonders if the little fox guy will come back. xxxDDD!!*
