@HKMaly: Koala's can be pretty dangerous, even though they aren't really bears. Their danger is in their strong, sharp claws, which a small bear would also have. @Joff's comment: They try to keep it at least a few kilometers away? At closest? Wow, I'm surprised that they touched one. (I'm an Aussie, you need a few permits and two gun cabinets to own a gun, if you don't live in country Australia).

Darthmolly: Real bears are dangerous because they are bigger that you. Well, bear with same size would probably still be dangerous, but bear with size of common teddy bear will not. On the other hand, dog with size of common teddy bear CAN be dangerous. Not speaking about snakes or spiders, who, when poisonous, can be dangerous even when smaller.
