Imminent beat downs, it's not when it hits that hurts it the wait till it hits. (As for the shadow, if I'm not mistaken doesn't act as really good armor, although that doesn't mean it is invincible).

The cat's death is the only one attributed to curiosity. Steve has a much longer track record. They're already dead. They just don't know it.

Curiosity tried to kill the cat, but Death was busy drinking and rampaging goblins, so the cat went ahead and killed Curiosity. Later, God yelled at Death, so he went and picked them both up.
