Since we are on the subject of Fed Ships, I wonder- does the new destroyer have more to the stern I feel like that negative space there always needed to be filled- larger- more pushed back nacelles, and obviously it needs more guns... One things almost certain- it will adopt the boxy aesthetic of the Advanced Battle Cruiser won't it?

Also possible- all participants in this event are in the wrong time save for one. That's actually the more likely of them, but most logically seeing as Wheels would be unlikely to have made such a huge forward leap in time by accident (he was Granny's passenger at the time - I believe, which would place this event about 60 years prior to DE's return to Terra) or at least portions of it. With a few exceptions time-travel in this universe is the result of accidental and natural anomalies, usually related to FTL equipment even when intentional, which doesn't invalidate this being one of the first Advanced Battle Cruisers.

Also interesting- this is an Advanced Federation Battle Cruiser, but the time frame this would be in would be while the older model was still largely in service and for a few years after this is the only one that had appeared, and I suspected that the modified battle cruiser in The Replacements venture was the prototype for the upgrades, so either this one is in the wrong time, or is one of the very first of it's class, and the feds have been allowing the old ones to continue the rest of their useful lives without recall to convert as many components possible for parts in the newer models, logically many of them would be interchangeable. Might explain why we have seen the old ones used in such large numbers (you know other than that it was the only variant Ron used at the time and people kept on mentioning it's similarities to a Bird of Prey- backstory explanation is important)
