The Demonstration Effect

Hi everyone and, as usual, sorry for my lateness. I haven't yet given up on my Wednesday schedule, though. :/
The “demonstration effect” is a German colloquialism for the curious fact that everything, no matter how well it works when you're alone, tends to fail in the very moment you try to show it to someone else. I don't know if there is an exact English equivalent - I can't think of any at the moment, but that might as well be a variation of this same effect. ;)
There may be a reason too why Gundula keeps the enchanted wooden bowl in her living room. Most probably it's German TV.

Hey wait a minute! "What the Tiger is doing"? Tiger has his own streaming channel?! *runs for his magic mirror* ..... Err actually it's called "Murphy's Law". It's the simple way of explaining the fourth law of thermodynamics.

I think I enjoy watching Tiger's antics and mannerisms as much as the story :). As for as the 'demonstration effect', I can't think of an English equivalent, although it seems a close cousin to 'Finagle's Law' -- 'Anything that can go wrong, will — at the worst possible moment'
