Hullo, everyone! I said I would return, and here I am again, a little dazzled by the way time seems to be flying by at the moment. It's positively scary! Well, I think I'll just stop lamenting for a change, draw my stuff and post it when it's finished. Seems to me the best way of handling it at the moment. This page is mostly something of a build-up for things to come. I've got something special in mind, that's all I'm going to say right now. :) There's an extra cartoon, too, which is outside of the regular comic. One of my friends at DeviantArt won the little “spot the quote” contest I set up two pages ago, and got a sketch of her choice. She asked me to draw Gundula http://fav.me/d6hximv Have a nice week, and thanks for reading & commenting!
@Kim: Thanks! Btw., just for completeness' sake, the small one in the first panel is an early 1950s Allgaier A22 (1 cylinder, 22 HP), and the large one in the last is a Hanomag "Brillant 700" as built around 1970 (6 cylinders, 75 HP and a reputation for being noisy). I secured myself lots and lots of stock images years ago, and it's times like this that it pays off. Did I mention I have a faible for old German tractors and that it kept bugging me no end that I've hardly ever found a chance so far to include them in this comic? ;)
By the way, there will be other chances to win a sketch of your choice. I'm just waiting for a moment when I feel safe enough to actually have enough time at hand to draw it. :/ Oh, and don't worry about the link saying "fav.me" - although I always appreciate if you do. It's really DeviantArt and quite safe. :)
