I'm not sure how this seems. We're nearing the end of this chapter, and I just decided on an ending I thought would be cool.
This chapter is short because it's really sort of sets up the next chapter.
From Dragonball Z, I know that whenever people merge, they are always ugly with the first merge and then less ugly the next time.
Obviously what happens next is that Thunderpunch, Bolt and Pulse merge into one person? …Probably not.

Not every Transformer was part of a gestalt either. While the Constructicons, Stunticons, Aerobots, etc. could combine to form a big bad (or good in the case of the Aerobot's Superion), you never had Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave and the other main Decepticons combine (the personality conflicts were enough without already among them). I could see a gestalt formed by the classic Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Jazz, Iron Hide and Ratchet, but it never happened. Even engineering the toy to have effectively three forms (vehicle, robot, gestalt component) was more involved. Mind you, even when combined into Devastator, Optimus and crew could still defeat the Constructicons. Pulse, Bolt and Strong Arm could still come out on top over the chimera that has just been formed. All the strengths and all the weaknesses. By your powers combined, I am ... a big mess.
