Well, here's my first attempt at using pre-made screentones/backgrounds. My findings:
1) I'm not to happy with having less control over shot angles per panel, but they DO look good, I think.
2) Despite the shortcut of pre-made backgrounds and screentones, it takes a little more time to work in my art than I thought since I'm forced to attempt to match the pre-mades of the panel.
Anyway, the script for this Origin chapter is done, so it's just a matter of how fast I can get pages drawn up between this and Omega Justice, at this point.

I used some pre-made backgrounds on early pages of A.D 1997 actually, but for some reason I quickly abandoned using them. I think they work fine if you don't really concentrate on them... but for A.D 1997, the backgrounds really influenced the look, so I wanted to have complete control.

This page is well done! You've incorporated your art with the pre-made images flawlessly. As long as you keep the pre-made stuff in the background , and not the main focus of your comic, I think it will work fine. Looking forward to more.
