I don't like doing political comics. I don't like reading them too much, either. I like to think that Stocks exists in its own little world where famous people hang out with each other all day long.
But this surge in anti-immigration laws in the US has just pissed me off. There is nothing this president has done that I've agreed with. There's nothing he's done that hasn't set this country back fifty years.
I hate the President, and all that he stands for. I hate the talking heads that support him, and I hate the people that voted for him because they think he did a good job in the wake of 9/11.
I hope this is the only political comic I do. But on Friday I remembered President Reagan in Germany saying, “Mr. President, tear down this wall.” In light of recent weeks, it seemed very appropriate.
I find the comic amusing, being an immigrant myself, but George W. Bush is not the one who should be blamed for the recent anit immigration laws, the real contempt should be aimed at congress, the house and senate.
Whoooa... That is one looong wall
I disagree with the wall for a few reasons. One that it is a waste of money. That money could be going towards more useful purposes like our needy or medical reseearch. etc
PLus I have nothing aganst immigrants. One family who's kid we take home from kindergarden ( yes I woirk on a schoolbus) is a immigrant. She just did the whole test and became a cerified citizen. I think its cool. I just can't support the people who don't follow the system. Yeah the system is crappy but if you can't follow the rules then you can't expect benefits.
But this is a very impressive polictal comic. I will give it a 4!
They should keep the wall up. At least it puts a dent in illegal imigration. If we let illegals get through, they could be criminals on the run. Or maybey drug dealers. While immigrants may do a better job at gardening or whatever for less money, and I don't have a problem with that because it's the former worker's fault for not working hard enough, they are not treated very well. If they ask for a raise, their boss will just laugh and say that if they give them a raise, their just going to report the workers. And if the immigrants don't want to fill out paper work to come into this country, they should not be here. We should not suffer for something that is their fault.
pt - i like the fact that you felt strong enough about all of this to make a point and you still did it with a bit of irony and humor. even though i don't want to, about every three days i am tempted to make a political joke in my comic (and sometimes i do it anyway and don't even realize it until later) so i really appreciate a comic that doesnt take the cheap political jab.
btw, i'd take reagan over w in a heartbeat. hell, a dead reagan would still do a better job!

By the way nighthawk, I put you under review because you rated my politics and not the comic.

You put me under admin review for speaking my political views? You do know I'm not going to be banned for it.
