Thanks guys! The names come from the copperhead's latin name: Agkistrodon contortrix. :) Agkistrodon is derived from the Greek word ancistron which means "fishhook". This is in reference to recurved fangs. contortrix is from the Latin word contortus which means "twisted" or "intricate" in reference to the dorsal pattern. Now ya learned somethin!

I'm guessing their names are either a name of a dinosaur. Agkristodon, or an Adam Ant song. =D (How long has it been since I commented on one of these?...)
