Powers/Skills:
Captain DeathRay was granted a number of super-human abilities by his alien benefactors. The main source of these powers comes from his ability to control the vibration of his own molecules. This allows him to fly and become intangible. He can also shoot powerful laser beams from his eyes. Why the extra-terrestrials gave him this gift is unknown. As he is quite vain, he also has spent a lot of time at the gym, and is pretty fit and strong by normal human standards.

Background (History)
Captain Deathray was a soldier in the Confederate army during the American Civil War. After being severely wounded in battle, he was abducted by aliens. In order to save his life, the aliens gave his body the ability to shift into intangibility. After being returned to Earth he was studied by various government agencies, and over the next few decades learned how to control his new body. He became a government spokesperson for a number of years until he met Plan B and they formed their own super team, The X-Heroes.
