Vera can be be very convincing. Even if she doesn't sound convincing you're still convinced. Lon is a cynic but he's one to play along. He likes to give people enough rope so they hang themselves and he can lean back and say “Told you so”.
There are some problems with slave belts. Sure the wearer does everything you say and says “yes master” a lot but not necessarily with any particular skill or enthusiam. They're sort of like a very cheap bargin basement robo-femoid without the exo-dermal armor or built-in beam weapon. But the conversion is much easier, you just throw on the belt whereas robo-femoid conversion requires all kinds of apparatus and control crystals. This is the problem with recurring characters you refer to the story where they first appeared and no one remembers and you have to put in footnotes to remind them.

Hmm, but if they're going to obey you anyway, why does it make any difference whether they wear the belts or not? (well, I guess it does give a better view of the mammaries...)

Oh, cool! I looked it up; I've seen the image before, but didn't recognize Lon with the different wardrobe. My research tells me no print of that film exists. A damn shame; he's a cool looking creature. I'm glad he lives on in your comics!!

Great looking page again... Yeah I just don't think it's that much of a sacrifice for our ladies to offer to walk around topless lol... As for stealing the ship back...!
