Preview: another more familiar starship

My buffer has slipped to six pages. So in the meantime no Friday pages and here's a preview of another starship. Maybe it'll be the cavalry on the way to the rescue. Enterprise and Defiant are two different model kits representing two of the variations on the model used in the TV show and its pilots. Enterprise is built in the configuration of the initial pilot. Due to a tiny effects budget shots were re-used whenever possible, so Enterprisesequences from the pilot were used throughout the TV series.Defiantis an old AMT model with a nice set of decals that more accurately represents the TV series ship.
As the caption says the bridge background here is not a render, but photos of one of the Enterprise bridge duplicates that tour conventions. Notice the different color scheme. If needed I can convert the renders to that color scheme for other pictures of Enterprise. Kirk commands this ship but who commands Defiant? Why Christopher Pike of course. Gary Mitchell was Kirk's friend and second officer in the second series pilot. He got killed, but in this alternate universe that never happened. Plaskey is named for the actor who played Lieutenant Lesley; Eddie Plaskey. He was always my favorite extra.

With this filter and the eyes on some of the characters, it has almost a cartoon/animation look to it.

This filter was just an experiment. I might use it for future headers or backgrounds.

Are you going to use this same filter effect in those pages too? The grainy effect is kinda cool, but you lose a lot of detail with it at the same time.
