Star Strip page 118

The second page of the tribute to the original series. I intentionally included the characters played by the actors who are deceased. These pages go out to them; DeForest Kelley, James Doohan and Leonard Nimoy. The roles they portrayed and memories they left are priceless. James Doohan was even a real life war hero.
This page morphed into a light hearted bit about Kirk discovering the robofemoids. Originally it was all about trying to find out about transporter use at warp. Suddenly when editing the pictures that didn't seem right. Dr McCoy off-handedly mentions the robofemoid conversion and Spock agrees but there was originally no response from Kirk. So it was changed into the Computer being asked for all info on robofemoids. (That way I was able to sneak in Majel Barret who is another deceased cast member)
Majel Barret managed to appear on every incarnation of Star Trek and her voice is still used for the computer in the re-boot movies. After seeing the first pilot you almost wish she had stayed in the role of “Number One” Don't worry once I find the right figure you'll see her as Pike's XO on board Defiant. I have three more Star Trek ship models to build including two kit bashes of the Enterprise -A and -D. I don't want to do them out of the box because of kit problems, and the fact they've been lounging in my closet forever so they'll be modified for this comic. Give me an excuse to do more stories, introduce other crews or at least captains, I have Picard and Aubrey (a Russell Crowe figure) standing by.
Page notes: McCoy met with Vera and Jenness back at the beginning of the comic. It is assumed he met with Aura prior to her arrival on Surprise. Chekov's sister was one of the victims of the tissue harvester. She was an engineering cadet.

I'm not trekkie enough to know who Harry Mudd is, so I had to Youtube it. Yeah, it's a big universe but their paths must have crossed at least once.

Harry Mudd WOULD be the kind of guy to work with the Grey guys...hell...he'd probably be their commander!

Loving this tribute to the Trek actors we've lost. An interesting thing about that original pilot is how serious a lot of the characters were. Pike, Spock and Number One were sort of similar. In an alternate reality, it would have been interesting to see how that ensemble would've developed if given a chance.

Very nice tribute to both the actors and the characters they played. Awesome camera angles, btw!

hehe I had to look up Harry Mudd - yeah I can see him being a Grey in disguise!! Kirk and Rickover also seem to have a few similarities :D

There will at least be a Belinda Brandon story with it. That is up to Jerrie. I might also try to get permission to do Masked Americana.

Oh, and I'd love to see how you portray Jerry's Anfer or Voe universes with action figures.

Harry Mudd may be a grey guy in disguise.
