Okay, early version up Friday morning, will finish it Saturday. I skipped Wednesday's comic this week because both you and some other guys encouraged me to relax a bit. But! I am recovering quite well, thank you. I'll tell you this much: There's a very logical reason for why Sarin's apparently able to see through the disguise despite Elizabeth's confidence in being able to fool anyone, including telepaths.

In an earlier comic (Chapter 7) when Goro's explaining to Rina about what he does he states that he's able to see a person's true form directly. Perhaps it's because of her training as a top rate alterist herself. You know, that sounded wierd to me because of the gender change.

I still lean towards male essence; but the theory that Sarin can sense that this so called "Goro" can use magic does sound possible.

I like the "senses male essence" theory, though in the first chapter, Sarin didn't just automatically sense that lack. Maybe she's gotten stronger? Also, since Darius pointed out the hole in my theory a few days ago about the blood link transfering memories, I think how Elizabeth fools the ID scanners is by using that blood to redirect the scan to the real Goro, so they all come up positive.

I'm sure that there's some reason that Sarin, who has a lot of power, might see through "Elizabeth." But it bothers me considerably that a shaman so powerful as Kili, who needs permanent tattoos just to be normal, cannot perceive that Goro is someone completely different. Full of evil motivation--robbing hospitals, looting bank accounts (thousands of years into the future, are there really banks? are they really accessible from cell phones? Remember the Star Trek TOS communicators, which were seriously clunkier than cell phones you can buy today? It's hard to envision the future for real...) Can an alterist alter her psychology? And where's Tomo? She'd know what was up, and she seems to be hanging around the Dragon Doctors to help them out when they need someone in the spirit world. It's pretty arrogant of "Elizabeth" to think she can hoodwink the Dragon Doctors with simple physical resemblance!

I think that those who have said "the amulet" may be right, but it's unlikely, for the reasons that Pyrarrows said. That said, I don't agree that it's because Sarin's an alterist, either. It may be related to the loss of "Male Essance" or "Strength", but I suspect not. It's most likely, in my oppinion, is more related to the magic that the fake Goro has. :D

Wait, if Sarin could hear the real Goro via the 'Silent Word Medallion' Why wouldn't Aki notice? My guess is a combination of the necklace and Sarin's ability as an alterist. I'm sure someone as trained as she was can recognize another's work. and since the DD's diagnose Magical maladies she can tell a forced transformation. or "New" Goro is slightly off somehow maybe taller. which may hurt Aki's feelings.

Long time reader who finally bothered to get an account. My guess is this: Elizabeth still has some of her/his "Male Essence" even if she were female she would have some. Goro, though, lost it all when "he" attacked the stone head thing in Agri village. Elizabeth seems to not know about that, though she would have known about needing the strength transfusion. That's my guess anyway.
