Rule #6: The main character only has one parent. the other parent is either a yet unknown villain (the darth vader law) or never mentioned.
now we know why the character always wakes up late. Frying pans are dangerous, its questionable whether they should be allowed in homes.

It's true. It's so rare for main characters to have more than one parent. Or any parent, for that matter, for as we all know, almost every main character in the final fantasy series is an orphan. Of course, absolutely.
