Experiments seem to indicate that people are capable of causing pain in others, but are often much more capable of doing so if there's some sort of ‘detachment’ (Pushing a button to shock someone is easier to do that causing pain directly with one's own hand). When authority figures are involved, one's ability to inflict pain, distressingly, increases. It's a part of our hardwiring, it seems, that I find repugnant.
In any case, it's not necessarily easy to choke the life out of someone directly, but less direct means may be more palpable. I'd just as soon have none of the situations put themselves upon me. I don't want to test how strong my will is to ‘do the right thing’.
*sigh* Thanks for reading…

Really good layouts here. Dynamic.

Great choice of the side angle look over in panel 6. Interesting choice, yep I suppose there is really no way of getting out of her pushing him off a cliff since it is something that is pretty easy to do detached from it. Great choice of plot.

Been trying to think what I'd do in this situation - Ugh... it's a toughie...!!!

I had a feeling she was going to kill him :S. Is she really gonna push him over or will she have second thoughts :X?

Thanks Banes :) Kimber's kinda roller-coaster with her emotions, if that hasn't been obvious so far, so she might not go thru with it, or she might, and feel like crap afterwards *shrug* - revealed next page. Yah those panels are fun to do - I'm tempted to do them every page but it does take more work. Speaking of next page, it's gonna be my 100th page, and for that milestone I picked the wrong time to experiment. I tried something with my next page and I hate how it turned out, and I'm too lazy to redo it, but at least you should be able to tell what's going on :D

Still with some creative panel layouts up top, too! I'm glad you're doing that - it's very effective!

I guess the question is...will Kim go through with it? She doesn't seem to be doubting her ability to let gravity be the actual perpetrator...I love the deep thoughts in this comic, that's for sure!

@Paul: indeed, and there's a decent chance you won't die from a 100-foot fall, maybe more so if you're strapped in a sturdy restraining chair. You'll just be mangled up a bit, with multiple compound fractures... Ugh... "Hey, Miss, choke please..."

@Plymayer: I'd hate to be in her shoes (or lack of)...
PaulEberhardt at 4:21AM, June 26, 2013
In a way, this makes the whole business even meaner. Like: good news: I won't choke you. bad news: I'll push you off a cliff instead. I know that's not the way she intended it, but from Eli's point of view it may well seem so.

She is suffering more than he is.
