Sorry for the walls of text on this page, but once Jack gets rolling it's hard to shut him up. He just felt like all this needed to be said, I suppose.
.
The question: would you believe him, were you in Kimber Lee's shoes?
.
She been trained to look for certain features to ‘know’ when she's dreaming (in her case, physical feats beyond human ability). To start believing you're not dreaming when you really are(at least with the induced dreams via Synprovision's experiments)apparently causes all kinds of mental problems.
.
I'm not sure what I'd do - I'd like to hear another's viewpoint.
.
Thanks for reading everyone.

Well this explains a lot. So now I'm convinced she isn't dreaming after all although.... how can she believe what anyone tells her if she still is! lol Quite a dilemma for sure! XD

Well I think I wouldn't believe him, but seeing as she reached her goal (sort of in that she faced him and saw him die) in her position I think I would try to bargain for a better situation than a cell. Cause she has power, but not bullet proof yet.

@Peipei: so you believe Jack, then? ;)
Peipei at 4:00PM, July 21, 2013
Interesting revelation. So she wasn't dreaming afterall. How is she gonna get out of this?

@plymayer: 'Dream Jack'... that just sounds like an awesome name for a product of some sort... or maybe a special way of mixing Jack Daniels. But yeah, hard to trust someone who could potentially gain (enormously so) based on your actions.

@Banes: Wow, dude, you, like, totally get it... and stuff :)

I am not sure I buy his story. He has an agenda sleeping or awake. Hmmmm..... Of course the enity could be speaking to her through the "dream Jack".

He's just talkin'...I mean, maybe he's telling the truth, but I don't think I...I mean it's...aghh, I don't know what to believe!!

Thanks irrevenant - yeah, obviously Kimber Lee's mindset is 'in my mind', so I know she's considered the possibility, but she's seen firsthand what can happen to those who fail to separate dreams and reality (the twice-mentioned Sally). Failing to drive it home to the reader is on me, but I'm still learning *shrug*. Perhaps a page where we see/hear Sally's wrecked state, or a round-table session where the 'rules' are gone over by the staff... Anyway, starting on page 112 I'm trying some new art tricks (still watercolor) that I think greatly improves the look of my comic. Hope you stay with me, and I'll continue to hone the plot -- Thanks again

Urk, I just realised Jen's logic works both ways: Kimber's miraculous cure and hair growth suggests that all this may be possible too. The flip side is: If this *isn't* possible and Kimber is just dreaming, that implies she dreamed being cured too. :(

In her shoes? Hmm. It's kind of frustrating as a reader that she hasn't even considered the possibility until now but I think it's completely credible - she would've had it drummed into her to be sure when she's awake and when she's dreaming. I know you mentioned the reality tests earlier. If you ever touch up this comic I suggest maybe emphasising just how rigorously they were drummed into her so we don't think she's just being obtuse? This comic is amazing. It really is something new and you've executed it so well.
