So now Kimber Lee can manufacture Horsey-pheromones! That's an interesting and potentially awesome ability.
.
Seor Saavedra just gave her the horse?! Let's just say he's a rare man these days who believes that one's word is one's honor. Although I'm sure he'll be more careful with hastily-made promises from now on, especially around Kimber Lee…
.
Artwise, still trying the Watercolor Pencil thing. They're so aggravating! On one hand they work so well, and you can go so fast with them, but it seems they always leave a sort of grainy, lumpy texture behind, no matter how much water you use. I use them for several more pages before putting them away for good (until I change my mind again haha).
.
Thanks for reading everyone :)

@Plymayer: That's beautiful! and very true! Some people confuse honor with reputation (which someone else can take). True honor is deeper, and it hold true even when no one else is watching.

@Peipei: Animals use all their senses to an extent much more than humans, and now, so does Kimber Lee! If she put her mind to it, she might could become the best animal trainer in the world!

In the end, honor is something that is earned. It can be given away but it's can't be taken. It's about the only think no one can take unless you let them.

Kimber sure has a way with animals. Some animals are picky, but she seems to have an aura about her that allows animals to trust her.

@Banes: Thanks! And Kimber Lee has been at the Saavedra Ranch somewhat over a week (so she mused two pages ago) - this page is a flashback to when she'd just been there a day or so. And yes, a talk (or two) is coming. Finally, looks like you're right about 'Love LOST' Grrr... maybe I'll change it soon... or not :)
Banes at 5:38PM, Jan. 21, 2014
...Oh...should it be "no love LOST" rather than 'loss'? I think so.
Banes at 5:34PM, Jan. 21, 2014
Well, the watercolor pencils LOOK good, that's for sure. It's good to know Kim's only been there a day - I was thinking it had been longer already. Can't wait to see her talk to her (former) friend and find out how that goes...

@bravo1102: haha Yes, yes it does!

Sure beats Alexander noticing his horse was afraid of its own shadow.

@fallopiancrusader: Thanks! I'll take that advice!

I find that watercolor pencils are OK for small detail work, but not suitable for big smooth washes and large areas of dense color. In the long run, I think regular watercolors (or dyes) are more versatile and efficient, even if they are harder to master. For those occasions where you want a grainy texture, you can still go back over the watercolor painting with colored pencils.
