This was a crowded page, but I just felt there was a lot to say (and not say).

I originally did the panel with the long view of everyone at the table horizontally, but decided it look way too reminiscentof DaVinci's ‘Last Supper’ (and Socorro already thinks of Kimber Lee as Judas…) so I redid the whole thing.
.
This is this LAST page I will EVER do using watercolor pencils (until I do decide to do another page in watercolor pencils). The next page I'm back to reg ol' watercolor.

Old man Saavedra tell it like he sees it. It's hard on the ears but sometimes I feel the world would be better if everyone talked a bit more that way… Sometimes anyway… I just think our society has become a little over-sensitive to everything.

'Chido!' is Mexican slang, more or less equivalent to ‘Cool!’ in American English.

@Bravo1102: Thanks! Hair as ID cover? Hmmm... why not? Maybe... eventually... Of course right now she doesn't want the folks she's with to notice it's grown a couple feet in a week. I'm not convinced that would be an easy thing to hide - I suppose anyone that's suspicious just hasn't spoken up yet ;)

A lot but it works. Like the expressions too. If her hair is so much longer couldn't she use that to hide her identity too?

There is a lot there, but the page does not look crowed to me. The old guy knows how to make folks think.

@Peipei: yeah, younger ones flirting with you is flattering, of course, but also can feel really weird, depending on how hard the 'crush' is. And leaving the ranch... Kimber Lee would probably agree with you, but she also owes the family a bit, and if they ask her to help out she can't help but feel obligated... but we'll see how that pans out.

Bwahahaha! Look how happy the brother is now that he knows Kimber is coming too xD. His crush on Kimber is somewhat cute in a weird way xD. Also, I don't know if leaving the safety of the ranch is a good idea for her just yet...

@Banes: Thanks so Much! I was hoping this page would 'work'. Yeah, Socorro's dad is big on honor - it can seem harsh but in someways it's a rare and refreshing characteristic. And Emilio..? The Boy in last panel is Salvatore (which I know you meant - the story is just suffering from name saturation haha), but yeah, that teen boy knows what's important!

wow...fantastic stuff. You got out a ton of info but it never feels like a "wall of text". I meant to say I like the small reaction panels you do (man, they work well, here. The wordless moments are full of emotion). Poor Socorro...her Dad's right...but I feel for her. And Emilio - Hahaha! A lad who knows his priorities, at least...
