Grudges sometimes take on a life of their own. You can't get over the fact THAT someone hurt you, when HOW they hurt you has long faded into something that doesn't matter much anymore. And then, sometimes, you experience something that puts your grudge into perspective, Oh, you might not throw it away instantly. You might come up with reasons to keep it hanging on, but they sound so shallower and shallower…
.
And then, some decide to hang on to them, even if the world burns… haha
.
Thanks for reading, everyone :)

If it wasn't for the complications of sex they could all live together in total peace and harmony. *sighs* Such is life.

Maybe they will be best friends again :)

@Peipei: I've tried to honestly think about whether I'd choose to have the abilities the Kimber Lee has if I knew it would come with the exact same side effects... Still thinking... ;)
Peipei at 4:56PM, Feb. 27, 2014
Awww is she really jealous? Socorro must know that there's a lot of negative side effects to having such powers.

@bravo1102: Well... Thanks Then :)

Grudges like most human behavior are not logical but can be predictable. And behavior can keep you guessing till the last minute and you're doing a good job portraying that.

@bravo1102: Hmmm... all of the above haha! Seriously, grudges defy logic sometimes... I hope what comes next doesn't disappoint, but I can truthfully say what does happen next is modeled on the resolution of a long deep grudge I'm familiar with (it may or may not involve me haha). Like Banes suggested, real life often makes the best inspiration and can also be quite cathartic.

Wait, is Socorro about to give the "I fucked up please forgive me" speech? She's so angry about what happened and she's about to admit it was wrong? Or that she hates Kimber Lee for making her do what she did? Yeah the deepest love turns into the deepest hate so easy. She's been sending out such mixed signals it could go any which way now. Good job keeping me guessing. Really good close-up in the last panel. It really plants that doubt about which way Socorro will go.

@Banes: Thanks! While my stuff isn't fictionalized auto-biographical like 'Typical Strange', (not that I wouldn't love being able to bench-press Buicks in RL haha), I have drawn heavily upon my own life experiences for some of the drama issues.

This is pullin' my heartstrings! Kim's dealing with something she really needed to deal with. Glad she didn't run away! It makes me curious about the inspiration for this - writing can be a really good way to deal with real life unresolved things, though!

@Plymayer: That's very true - not that I've ever done a friend that way *looks around and whistles...*
plymayer at 5:47AM, Feb. 26, 2014
Okay now that hurts. Friends know where to stab you: In the heart.
