I've seen (and directly experienced) a few things in my life that seem miraculous, and even though I don't know what their logical explanation is, I just assume there has to be one. I consider myself a healthy skeptic, that blantantly supernatual things are just don't happen, along with things that push physics and biology too far (such as a human jumping up three stories).
.
But I try hard to stay open-minded. I think it sort of stupid (and reeks of hubris) for anyone with our current state of knowledge to declare that such things as paranormal abilities (esp, telepathy…), ‘Higher Powers’, Duality of Mind, etc., simply don't exist. I agree that the burden of proof on such things is on the one's declaring them to be true, and it's everyone else's right to not believe them, but I think the only logical stance concerning them is ‘agnosticism’ (I don't know…). Still, it's totally fair to act as if one knows for certain there's nothing ‘out there’, as long as we're willing to accept the evidence (dissected thoroughly first, of course) that comes before us, not matter how bizarre it is and how much it shakes our world view. I'd love to see ‘irrefutable’ evidence, if anyone has some (show me Bigfoot's body, please…).
.
non-TLDR version: I can identify with Emilio's mindset :)

Thanks for reading everyone!

You must admit, trying to read that on our T shirts will hold up people long enough for them to hear our message!

@Banes: I'm convinced now! So what do they call us Bigfoot believers - Sasquatchites?
Banes at 8:51AM, April 9, 2014
p.s. Please see my profile pic as photographic evidence of Bigfoot's existence.

Ha! Excellent setup and Emilio's reaction in the last panel is great. Datin' She-Hulk! Or being married to her, that is.

@plymayer: Pics or it didn't happen :); @bravo1102: Well, I hope to avoid 'tiresome explanations' in the story. My author notes, on the other hand, are not part of the story and are fair game (and entirely skip-able haha). Don't misunderstand me - I've read Randi and many other hard skeptics, and I'm all for the rigorous testing that James Randi does. I mentally do the same when I read or hear about any supposed miracles or supernatural occurrences. Having said that, I think the world would be a much more interesting place if someone won Randi's Million-Dollar challenge! I'm not holding my breath on that, though (and I don't think the challenge is even offered anymore...)

James Randi, Joe Nickell, Martin Gardner; read them. It's not about belief or eye witnesses they are easily fooled. It's Hard evidence and Occam's razor. Simplest explanation is probably the right one. She can lift a tractor so her muscles might not have the mass but are greater in some other psychological way. But are tiresome explanations necessary for the story? Here it's active characterization and not boring exposition.

Didn't they find Bigfoot at a Stuckey's on I-75 eating pancakes?
